Enjoy The Game:  This should be a positve experience for everyone involved. Every player no matter what position they play make a difference.

Work With Your Child:  Try to practice with your child during the week.  This will help improve your childs skills the better they play the more they enjoy the game.  Think of this as quality time the two of you will never forget.

Make Time For Games & Practices:  Everyone has busy schedules, but this is Your Child.  Having your child to the game or practice on time is very important.  When they are not on time it effects everyone on the team.  You need to teach your child to respect their obligations.  Try to stay and watch practices and you will be able to see what you can work on with your child at home.  This may also help you understand why a Coach makes the decisions he makes during a game.  Attend the games your kids really love it!!!

Respect The Rules & Umpire Decisions:  This is very important for players to learn.  When you don't agree with the Umpire KEEP IT TO YOURSELF.  Umpires don't change their calls just because Parents yell.  It is distrespectful to argue with the Umpires, and players do not need to see this. Players need to learn the Umpires call is final, no matter what.  This is the nature of the game.

Losing, Help Your Child Accept It:  Losing is never easy or fun, but it happens.  Teach your Child someone has to win and someone has to lose.  The winning team was just having a better day than your team.  Explain to them there is always next time, and the important thing is they can learn from their loss for the next game.  Don't place blame on each other this is a team sport, you win as a team and lose as a team.

When You Have A Problem:  Bring it to your Manager and if you don't get any satisfaction contact your appropriate Commissioner ( all emails are listed on the website). One of the biggest problems is a Parent complaining about the coaching after the season has concluded.  Problems cannot be addressed if they are not brought to our attention.  The majority of Managers and Coaches want all players to have a great experience and welcome your ideas. Lastly come to the monthly meetings and voice your concerns and ideas.

Get Involved With The RMSBO:  This is a volunteer run program and we can use all the help we can get.  Manage a team, coach, umpire, keep score, fundraise, help out at the picnic etc.  everything is appreciated.   VOLUNTEER  we need YOU!!!
Please if you feel something needs to be changed, get involved so you can change it, don't just criticize.  Be part of the solution not part of the problem.
